The current MBA cohort had the opportunity to take part in a study tour to Belgium which took place 21-26 April.

Hosted by the Leuven Institute for Ireland in Europe, the study tour focused on the highly topical theme of ‘Brexit from Europe’s Perspective’ and gave students the chance to interact with business people, European officials, and policy experts in a range of settings from large multinational companies, innovation incubators, and logistics centres, to the European Commission, European Parliament, and leading European football associations.

During the trip, participants had the opportunity to visit DHL Hub, EU Commission, Royal Belgian Football Association, R.S.C. Anderlecht FC, EU Headquarters, Cronos Leuven, Imec, Stella Artois Brewery and Mercedes-Benz Customer Contact Service.

Elizabeth Maitland, Associate Dean MBA, commented “Through the up-close and engaging activities students took part in during the trip, they gained real world insight into the rapidly changing landscape of British and European business and politics.

Our students described the tour in their social media posts as ‘life-changing’ – a powerful validation of the important role these extra-curricular activities play in our MBA programmes’ commitment to a transformational learning journey.”
