Academics attend seminar on lecture highlights

Management School academics attended a seminar, delivered by Rob Edwards, on Wednesday 20th March which looked at Lecture Highlights.

Lecture Highlights are a series of short videos that accompany each lecture and are available for students to view on Vital - the University’s virtual learning environment.  They provide an overview of each lecture, review the most important or challenging components of the session and emphasise the connections between lecture topics.

During the session, attendees heard about the benefits of lecture highlights, to both students and staff, and also gave an overview of the simplest way to produce the videos.

Rob Edwards, Lecturer in Economics, said “The Management School is constantly thinking of new ways to utilise technology to help improve the student experience.  Lecture highlights is an example of this so the session was a great way to ensure academics are making the most of the tools we have available.”
