Amy Peebles, MSc Marketing Student at the Management School, has been working with the Professional and Business Services Board at Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) to design a market research survey.

During the study Amy worked closely with partners PwC to learn more about how businesses in the Liverpool City Region are currently using AI, how they feel their organisation will be influenced by AI in future, and what support around AI they foresee being necessary for growth.

The findings of Amy's research were presented at a collaborative event, entitled "AI - What it means for your business", in front of an audience of local business people. A panel comprising experts from the University of Liverpool, Weightmans, EY Riverview Law, Barclays Eagle Labs and IBM Research also discussed the study.

Reflecting on her experience, Amy said, “Volunteering to undertake the research gave me good experience working with partners on a real project and allowed me to put what I’ve learned into practice.  To then have my work discussed at the event was a really proud moment”.

Steve Stuart, Chair of the Liverpool City Region LEP Professional and Business Services Board, said, “Amy’s contribution to the event has given her the opportunity to apply her skills and build her CV whilst delivering some interesting insight into AI use in the region”.
