The Management School's Accounting lecturing team has been shortlisted in two categories at this year’s PQ Awards.

The PQ Awards are run by PQ magazine and recognise those within the accountancy and finance sector who have made significant contributions over the last year within the industry.

There are 18 different awards up for grabs, split across public and private sector categories.  The Accounting lecturing team has been shortlisted for ‘Public Sector College of the Year’ and Chris Barlow (lecturer on the Accounting programme) has been shortlisted for the ‘Public Sector Lecturer of the Year’.

Nick Drape, Lecturer on the Accounting programme, commented “It’s fantastic news that both the lecturing team and Chris individually have been shortlisted for the PQ awards. The awards have been running for many years and very highly regarded in the industry.

The shortlistings reflect the fantastic work done by the team over the last year and also the brilliant work Chris has done, both from a curricular and extra-curricular perspective. We really believe in what we do as a team and it’s great to see some external recognition of that.

We are all looking forward to attending the award ceremony and hopefully we’ll have some silverware to bring back up to Liverpool! ”

The winners will be announced at the PQ magazine awards night in London’s Café de Paris on Tuesday 26th February.
