Management School hosts Business Breakfast on Blockchain

The Management School hosted a Business Breakfast Briefing on Wednesday 30th January.

The event, organised in association with Liverpool LEP, was attended by local business contacts and provided insight into Blockchain as a rapidly developing technology.

Guest speakers included Ade Molajo, Halcyonite Digital, Julian Clark, Hill Dickinson, and Bren Hutchinson, BH Associates.  Talks focused on what Blockchain is and how it works, some of the practical applications already adopted in industry, its future in the global business arena and some of the challenges businesses face in adopting the new technology.

At the end of the session there was a panel Q&A session chaired by Steve Stuart, Chair of the Professional and Business Services Board, Liverpool LEP.

The Management School hosts regular breakfast briefings which explore various topics currently impacting the business community.  As well as including informative talks from both industry and academia, the events also provide a valuable opportunity to network with other like-minded professionals.  Details of the next business breakfast will be announced shortly.  To be added to the mailing list please email busdev@liverpool.ac.uk.
