The Management School hosted an event on Wednesday 10th October to welcome its MBA and master’s scholarship holders.

The event was held at the Liverpool Everyman theatre and gave students the opportunity to network with other scholarship holders and meet academics from across the programmes.

Attendees heard from Julia Balogun, Dean of the Management School, Lisa Anderson, Associate Dean Postgraduate, and Elizabeth Maitland, Associate Dean MBA about the many opportunities available to them as postgraduate students at the School.  These opportunities include a wide range of guest speakers, masterclasses, careers support, the ExECS award and the master’s consultancy challenge which was launched last year.

Scholarships are awarded to students with a strong academic background to help cover the cost of tuition.   The Management School prides itself on its diversity and this year has scholarship holders from 23 different nationalities, reflecting its mission “to be a globally connected Management School, whose transformative research and teaching places us at the forefront of influential knowledge leadership”.

Lisa Anderson, Associate Dean Postgraduate, said “It was great to meet the scholarship holders and to hear about their experiences in Liverpool so far. I was very impressed by their enthusiasm and their commitment to set and achieve challenging goals. I am sure they will bring a great deal to the ULMS Masters community.”

The School is also offering scholarships for its master’s and MBA programmes for 2019 entry.
