Master's students take part in Strategic Business Analysis poster day

Master’s students from the Strategy, Planning and Implementation module recently took part in a poster presentation day at the Crypt Hall in the Metropolitan Cathedral.   

The poster day was the final part of a week-long business analysis simulator which involved students from the MSc Marketing and Master in Management programmes working together in groups.  During the simulator, students were required to create their own branding, develop car models and specifications, identify appropriate target markets, set staffing levels and set automation levels, all within tight financial constraints. 

The aim of the simulator was to develop students’ business analysis and strategic decision-making by providing them with an opportunity to demonstrate the ability to research, analyse and present information coherently to support a recommended course of action. 

Academic representatives were also in attendance at the poster day to talk to students about their project and provide business insight. 

After the presentations, students were invited to attend a prize giving ceremony which recognised the best performing groups.  The categories and winners included:

Best Overall Performance:

Most Improved Team:

Two awards were also given for the best posters on the day.
