The Management School recently held a three-day conference for Year in Industry students who are coming to the end of their placement year.

Students returned to campus to deliver a presentation which summarised their placement and reflected on how it has contributed to their personal development.  Employers from a number of local and global organisations were also invited to watch the presentations which form part of the assessment for the Year in Industry.

Hamzah Ahmed, BA Accounting and Finance students, complete his placement at PwC and said, "I really enjoyed my year in industry as it has helped me gain relevant experience in the area I want to pursue after University.  It has also given me exposure to other roles in finance that I might be interested in pursuing further down the line.

It was satisfying to share my PwC experience during the conference as it allowed me to reflect on the massive improvements I have made in the past year, both as a professional and as a person."
