The Management School has launched its own business competition which will take place from 1st October-20th November 2018.

The competition is open to undergraduate students of any discipline from across the University and will run in three stages, consisting of various tasks such as a PowerPoint Pitch Deck, a pitch video, financial planning and a marketing campaign.  The final stage will include the six highest voted teams from the previous rounds who will be required to pitch in front of a live audience at The Shankly Hotel.

The teams will be split into two categories - commercial and social - with a winning team for each.  Winning teams will receive a number of prizes including £5,000 from Santander to get their business idea off the ground, six months co-working desk membership at Signature Works, a meet and greet with Laurence Kenwright to discuss business plans, half a day of PR strategy with Pink Media, accountancy support from BWM Chartered Accountants and potential investment from The Start Up Funding Club

Lee Wainwright, Employability Projects Officer, said “The Liverpool Start-Up Competition is a real business opportunity for students from across the university who have a start-up idea and want to make it a reality.

With the support of external organisations we’ve created a bespoke business support package for the winners.  We hope to find exciting, innovative and interdisciplinary student business ideas which can really excel from taking part.”
