Scott Portman, Associate Partner at St James’s Place Wealth Management Liverpool, visited the Management School to talk to students as part of the ULMS Extra programme.

Scott gave insight into working in financial planning and revealed his own career journey through SJP’s training programme.  He also gave advice on how to work with clients and what daily life is like in the financial sector.

Chrissie Evans, ULMS Extra Co-ordinator said, “Scott was very engaging and gave examples of real-life scenarios in great detail. His tips on how to enter the sector and finding mentorship to succeed were really insightful for students.”

Students can find informal mentoring opportunities in the alumni network by registering for Liverpool Connect.
