The GUCDC, organised by Lockin China and Global University China Career Union, took place 24th-31st March in Sanya and was attended by career officers from global universities, HRs from famous companies in China as well as experts on recruitment.

The University of Liverpool was one of eight institutions to be selected from over 600 Lockin Partner Universities as the ‘Employers' Choice University Careers Service’ which is widely recognised across the recruitment industry in China and by Chinese enterprises. Representatives from the Management School careers team attended the event and were presented with an award to recognise the achievement.

GUCCU is a union founded by global leading Universities and leading Chinese recruitment platform - Lockin China.  Its aim is to establish channels of communication between leading universities and Chinese employers to help Chinese overseas students and other international students looking to seek employment in China.

Xiaobei Wu, International Employer Engagement Officer, commented, “We are delighted with this award.  It is really encouraging for our alumni, current students and future students to see how the University of Liverpool has an excellent reputation in the recruitment industry in China, particularly Chinese students who would like to return home to work after they graduate.”
