ULMS Extra runs workshop on Middle Eastern Culture

Students from the Management School, and a number from Liverpool International College, attended a Middle Eastern Culture workshop on Tuesday 13th March.

The session was organised by ULMS Extra and is part of a series of six that aim to improve students’ cultural awareness.  During the workshop attendees heard key facts about the Middle East as well as learning more about different customs and etiquette when doing business with or in this part of the world.

Students have found the culture workshops extremely useful with feedback including:

“Before this I never really knew why people acted in a certain way but after attending the workshops I have begun to understand.  This has been an interesting experience”

“I’ve learnt more about different cultures; about their actions, their mindset about certain things and why they behave the way they do”

“Participating in the cultural awareness sessions has been the most interesting ULMS Extra programme.  The sessions are fun and interesting and make me want to engage with people more”

“The sessions have been very informative, engaging and thought provoking”
