MBA masterclass with Quintin Lake
Quintin Lake, Director and Co-Founder of 50eight, visited the Management School to present the next MBA masterclass in the series.
50eight is a consultancy and education organisation that partners with companies, charities and other organisations to address the challenges of modern slavery and improve working conditions in global supply chains.
Quintin gave attendees more information about the organisation and explained the impact modern slavery has on businesses in terms of credibility with customers, investors and the general public. A number of case studies were shown demonstrating times when well-known brands have suffered from negative publicity due to issues surrounding slavery within the supply chain.
The event was held in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) Merseyside branch meaning students had the opportunity to network with CIPS members from outside the University.
