FIMBA cohort welcomes Paul Barber as guest speaker

The FIMBA cohort welcomed Paul Barber, CEO of Brighton and Hove Albion FC, as their latest guest speaker.

Paul has over 20 years’ experience in football administration at all aspects of the game.  Prior to taking up his role as CEO of Brighton and Hove Albion FC, he spent time working for for the FA, Tottenham Hotspur FC and Vancouver Whitecaps FC – one of the oldest and largest professional soccer clubs in North America. 

Paul spoke to students about some of the fundamental practices that the club has adopted over the years and have helped contribute to its promotion to the richest football league in the world.  He also discussed the core principles of business and management in the football industry and how performances off the field play an integral part in making football clubs a success.  Students enjoyed hearing from one of England’s most experienced football executives and were also able to ask questions at the end.
