Masters students participate in Strategic Business Analysis Simulation

Masters students studying MSc Management, MSc Management and Entrepreneurship and MSc Marketing recently completed their Strategic Business Analysis module with a poster presentation day held on the 26th June.

As part of the module, students worked in groups combining both programmes to participate in a week-long business analysis simulator.  Students presented a summary of their business plans at a poster day held on campus. Academic representatives were able to talk to the students about their project and provide business insight.

The module aims to support the development student’s business analysis and strategic decision-making skills, and provides an opportunity for them to demonstrate the ability to research, analyse and present information coherently to support a recommended course of action.

The students celebrated the completion of the simulation with a prize-giving ceremony. The awards recognised the best performing group in each category as well as the best overall performance in the simulation, the best presentation, most improved performance and the best poster as voted for by peers. The ceremony was attended by Module Leader, Dr Patricia Murtagh, Associate Head of Postgraduate, Dr Lisa Anderson and a representative from Santander bank, Matt Richardson.
