Undergraduate Marketing programmes at the University of Liverpool recently gained accreditation by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

Following a recent application, the University of Liverpool Management School has been awarded CIM Graduate Gateway against BA Marketing and BA Marketing with a Year in Industry, meaning that students starting in September 2017 are eligible for exam exemptions in the CIM Certificate in Professional Marketing (Level 4) Marketing module and the CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing (Level 6) Strategic Marketing module.

CIM is the leading professional body for marketers worldwide and exists to develop the marketing profession, maintain professional standards and improve the skills of marketing practitioners. The University Liverpool Management School has joined forces with CIM to give students the opportunity to gain CIM professional qualifications through their Multi Award Pathway (MAP). CIM qualifications are highly sought after by employers and map alongside the School’s own degrees, ensuring that students are equipped with the best opportunities for a successful marketing career.

This achievement is a clear indicator that undergraduate Marketing students at the University of Liverpool will be gaining a qualification that is relevant to industry, with an opportunity to put theory into practice in real-world contexts.

Director of Studies for BA Marketing and BA Marketing with a Year in Industry, Paul Matthews said: “The Management School is delighted that our undergraduate Marketing programmes have gained accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. This reflects the quality and the structure of the programmes, encompassing the latest industry trends which help to make our students more employable and also capable of making a difference in the world of work. We look forward to working closely with CIM to ensure that our students are able to utilise the resources available to them to reach their maximum potential whilst studying with us".
