Celtic Park visit

The Football Industries MBA cohort recently visited Celtic Park, Glasgow, home of Celtic F.C.

The students were welcomed by the Head of Business Development and taken on a stadium tour that included viewing the club’s collection of trophies, which total an impressive 101 domestic honours. The tour was followed by a series of insightful speaker sessions from the CEO of the Celtic Foundation, the Commercial Director, E-Commerce Manager and a former FIMBA Graduate – Cheng Zeng, who now works for the club as a business development manager.

FIMBA candidate and student representative, Shah-Zeib Ahmed said:

“Visiting Celtic Park was definitely one of the best club visits during our course. The hosts were very hospitable and I really enjoyed the speakers, who highlighted how Celtic FC grew from its humble beginnings as a club providing food to the poor and how it has to-date maintained this charitable pillar in its strategy. It was also great to see the UK’s only safe-standing section, which must be a fantastic place to enjoy the local derby against the Rangers.”

The visit follows previous trips to Milton Keynes Dons F.C. and Goodison Park, home to local club Everton F.C.
