Students across all Management School MSc programmes had the opportunity to visit Merseyside’s online retail giant, Shop Direct, as part of the Management School’s ‘Leaders of Tomorrow’ programme.

Students who have achieved the highest results in their studies were invited to participate in the “Leaders of Tomorrow” programme which will see the group participate in a number of trips and sessions which aim to improve their teamwork, communication, networking and leadership skills, as well as provide further industry experience in addition to their studies.

The half day visit to Shop Direct’s headquarters in Speke on the 26th April involved a full tour of the offices as well as a number of talks relating to different aspects of the business including the digital workplace, credit risk, merchandising and data science.

The day concluded with a tour of the company’s state-of-the-art UX lab. The research facility enables the business to understand the needs of their customer and inform how the websites and apps should function across their multiple brands.
