Management School welcomes Dutch students

The Management School recently welcomed a group of staff and students from Bonaventura College, a secondary school in Leiden, the Netherlands, which specialises in business.

In one of our new Seminar Rooms in the £12 million Management School extension, the class was able to experience a taster lecture from Paul Matthews (Director of Studies for BA Marketing) who talked about the principles of Marketing and how it can influence business strategy.

The class also had the chance to speak to current students, have a tour of the University campus and visit a local business in the Liverpool Science Park. Angel Solutions, an educational software company, kindly provided a tour and talk on how a small business operates.

Debby Korenhoff, Teacher, said: “We are very thankful for the University of Liverpool welcoming us and to the Management School for the very interesting lecture! The students enjoyed the interactive session and felt much more confident about studying in the UK. Our visit to Angel Solutions was also very informative and a new experience for our students about what it’s like to work in a small business.”

The visit was part of the University of Liverpool and the Management School’s strategy to work with schools and institutions from around the world to maximise our positive impact locally, nationally and internationally.
