Researchers of three leading North West universities have joined forces to create the North West International Business (NWIB) Group, which will support the region’s continued success as a global powerhouse.

Manchester Metropolitan Business School, Alliance Manchester Business School and the University of Liverpool Management School will pool their expertise through NWIB to guide the region’s strategy and planning for inward investment, international trade and economic development.

Professor Frank McDonald of the Management School founded the project alongside Professor Heinz Tuselmann of Manchester Metropolitan University Business School and Professor Rudolf Sinkovics of Alliance Manchester Business School.

Last year, North West exports raised £25 billion, while 129 Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) projects created 5,283 jobs and safeguarded 1,815 more.

NWIB is sponsored by the Academy of International Business, UK & Ireland Chapter. The Academy of International Business is the leading body for scholars and specialists in international business, operating across 85 countries.
