The University of Liverpool hosted the ICAEW Business Game for undergraduates studying across all Management School programmes.

Management School students from all years were invited to participate in the interactive business game which asked teams to identify the most viable business plan based on a series of financial information presented to them as a case study. The challenge assesses student’s ability to use data to make an informed business decision considering such things as capital available, start-up costs and environmental impact.

Students presented their ideas to Steph Hamilton, Marketing executive in ICAEW’s recruitment team, as well as their peers. Those who participated valued the opportunity to enhance their team-working and presentation skills and were awarded with a certificate of achievement, a valuable addition to their professional portfolios.

The ICAEW Chartered Accountant qualification, the ACA, is one of the most advanced learning and professional development programmes available. It is valued around the world in business, practice and the public sector. Exemptions for up to 12 are offered as part of the BA Accounting and Finance programme at the Management School.
