University of Liverpool Management School becomes a CIPD Approved Centre

Published on

The University of Liverpool Management School has been awarded the status of Approved Centre by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

The CIPD is the professional body for HR and people development and sets the benchmark for excellence in people and organisation development.

The recently modified MSc Human Resource Management programme was mapped against CIPD Advanced Diploma Level 7 standards; the highest level of qualification offered by CIPD. As a result, on-campus full-time and part-time students will be eligible to apply for membership of CIPD; firstly a student membership which will enable them to access valuable CIPD resources and networking opportunities to support their studies;  and then an Associate membership (Assoc CIPD) once they’ve successfully completed the programme.

Jennifer Johnson, MSc Human Resource Management Director of Studies and Chair of CIPD Merseyside and North Cheshire Branch commented:

“I am absolutely delighted that after years of preparation and major programme modifications, we have become a CIPD Approved Centre. The process to attain the CIPD Accreditation was highly rigorous and involved a lot of dedicated work. The result is fantastic for our students as it will enable them to pursue their careers in a competitive market. Together with our high standard of teaching, we also now have this definitive link to one of the world-leading professional bodies in HR.”
