Enactus held their welcome event last week, hosted by several students from the Management School. Emanuela Escalante, a current BA International Business with a year in industry student spoke about her involvement:

“At Enactus Liverpool, we are a team of students from different disciplines and different academic years. We are passionate about helping others and using the skills gained through our degree to empower others. We currently have one international project, three local projects and one commercial project.

Participation in Enactus provides students with the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in their communities, while gaining the experience, skills and contacts necessary to build a successful career. Enactus students are talented, hard working, value-driven leaders that blend a competitive spirit and desire to succeed with a sense of integrity and desire to give something back. As a member of an Enactus Liverpool Team, you will be joining a worldwide network of more than 62,000 other students who are each making their own contribution toward our shared mission of creating a better world.

From my own experience, I joined Enactus in my first year of university as the Fundraising Director. I did not have any experience in fundraising before; however, it only takes passion and dedication to succeed. I am currently now in my second year and holding the role of Administrative Co-ordinator. My main responsibility is to look after all the projects that we have and help project leaders run their projects successful and smoothly. Being part of Enactus has helped me develop skills that employers are looking for. In July, I will be embarking on my year in industry which I can honestly say that I would not have secured without being part of Enactus Liverpool”.
