Management School awarded three Doctoral Training Centre Studentships

The School was delighted to learn that it has secured three prestigious studentships in this year’s  DTC (Doctoral Training Centre) competition. The studentships were awarded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) based on the quality of the Management School’s research proposals. Successful research proposals were submitted by the Economics and Business and Management pathway - securing one and two studentships, respectively. The studentships will enable three exceptional students to embark on research careers by providing them with fully-funded PhD places. Among the recipients are two current Management School students, which graduated among the best of their cohorts.

Dr Dirk Lindebaum, Senior Lecturer at the Management School said:

“The award of three DTC studentships is a major accomplishment both for the students and the school as a whole. For one thing, this demonstrates that we have very good students studying here at ULMS. For another, it shows that the research we undertake here at ULMS is of the highest quality. This should send a clear message to prospective high-calibre postgraduate research students that ULMS has a vibrant research environment in which they can thrive".
