About

Anne joined the University of Liverpool in 2014. She has previous experience at the Irish Refugee Council and UNHCR Ireland. She completed her PhD at University College Cork in 2015. Prior to this she completed her LLM at UCC and BCL at the University of Galway.
Anne's research interest is in refugee and immigration law, with a focus on the nature of legal protection status. She also examines broader issues associated with migration and movement, drawing on legal geography to consider the spatialisation of restrictions applied to movement across borders.
More recently, she explores concepts relating to the spectacle and the role that imagery and the collective imagination plays in the shaping of the legal and policy landscape for migrants and refugees.
