Founded in 2008, Teach For China was launched as a non-profit program managed by the Lead Foundation working towards a day where every child in China receives a quality education.Teach For China attracts, recruits, and trains passionate graduates and professionals to serve as full-time teachers in low-income, rural communities where they work relentlessly for two years to equip students with academic and life skills.

But the journey doesn' t stop there . After the two years on the Fellowship, Teach For China actively supports alumni to move on to careers in a myriad of professions—business, government, non-profit, social entrepreneurship—so that they can become a force for change, creating sustainable solutions for China’s education system in the long run.
