Create a calendar file

Click on "Create a calendar file" and your browser will download a .ics file for this event.

Microsoft Outlook: Download the file, double-click it to open it in Outlook, then click on "Save & Close" to save it to your calendar. If that doesn't work go into Outlook, click on the File tab, then on Open & Export, then Open Calendar. Select your .ics file then click on "Save & Close".

Google Calendar: download the file, then go into your calendar. On the left where it says "Other calendars" click on the arrow icon and then click on Import calendar. Click on Browse and select the .ics file, then click on Import.

Apple Calendar: The file may open automatically with an option to save it to your calendar. If not, download the file, then you can either drag it to Calendar or import the file by going to File >Import > Import and choosing the .ics file.

This semester we are aiming to hold weekly Language Exchanges with fun topics and activities so that anyone from any level can practice their target language.

Laura Hitchcock 罗拉

Laura is a 4th Year Business studies and Chinese student at the University of Liverpool and the founder and head of the Language Exchange.

Laura’s role involves the creation and coordination of Language Exchange events. She will be working alongside the Confucius Institute and the University as Head of Chinese of the Modern Languages Society to create fun and interesting events to inspire the use of spoken Chinese.

Ziwei Guo 郭紫薇

Ziwei is a 2nd Year Applied linguistics (focus on Chinese as a Second Language) PhD student at the University of Liverpool and a head of the Language Exchange as she is also a Chinese mandarin tutor at the Confucius Institute at the University of Liverpool.

Ziwei’s role involves the creation and coordination of Language exchange events. She will cooperate with Modern Language society at the UoL and normally will attend the event as a Chinese-side consultant or she’ll invite relevant Chinese culture experts to join the events.
