ConnEXPO - Day 2 Making Connections & Building Networks - 1:1 and group sessions with Employers

Click on "Create a calendar file" and your browser will download a .ics file for this event.
Microsoft Outlook: Download the file, double-click it to open it in Outlook, then click on "Save & Close" to save it to your calendar. If that doesn't work go into Outlook, click on the File tab, then on Open & Export, then Open Calendar. Select your .ics file then click on "Save & Close".
Google Calendar: download the file, then go into your calendar. On the left where it says "Other calendars" click on the arrow icon and then click on Import calendar. Click on Browse and select the .ics file, then click on Import.
Apple Calendar: The file may open automatically with an option to save it to your calendar. If not, download the file, then you can either drag it to Calendar or import the file by going to File >Import > Import and choosing the .ics file.
ConnEXPO enables students from all years of study across all three of our faculties to engage with organisations of any size or sector, virtually.
A 10-day interactive, virtual event run over the course of 3 weeks from 27th October -13th November 2020. ConnEXPO is hosted exclusively on Handshake, it will enable students to engage with employers virtually via group sessions and 1:1 meetings.
27thth – 29th October - Prepare for ConnEXPO
During the first week, our team of student Career Coaches will run peer to peer sessions with registered students to support you in preparing your Handshake profiles for ConnEXPO and to share tips on how to make the most out of virtual networking opportunities and maximise your time spent with employers during weeks 2 and 3.
3rd – 5th November - Making Connections and Building Networks
Students will be taking part in 1:1 meetings and group sessions with employers.
PLEASE NOTE: Over the course of these 3 days there will be different employers involved each day, you will need to register for all 3 days so you don't miss any opportunities!
This is Day 2 of 3.
Friday 6th November - Enterprise Day
On Friday 6th November the focus will shift to Enterprise. Enterprise skills are highly valued by employers and the Enterprise Day at ConnEXPO has been designed to help you understand what these skills are, find out how you can develop and practice them whilst at University and how to articulate them in an interview.
10th – 12th November -Get Hired
Employers will host online interactive workshops covering virtual assessments and recruitment processes to help students perfect their techniques for a remote recruitment model.
Follow these steps to prepare-
* Prepare your Handshake profile and book a Prepare for ConnEXPO session with one of our Career Coaches. Search ConnEXPO in events on Handshake and these will be listed.
