Join football finance experts, the CEO of Premier League Champions Liverpool FC and the Manager of the Women’s Super League team Everton as they discuss how the nation’s favourite sport can bounce back following the coronavirus pandemic.

Chaired by Kieran Maguire, the University academic behind The Price of Football blog, book and podcast - and frequent media commentator - the second Liverpool Responds online event will give you the opportunity to hear from Liverpool FC CEO, Peter Moore.

Also joining for Liverpool Responds: Football in Focus is Willie Kirk, Manager of the Women’s Super League team Everton; Professor Sue Bridgewater, Director of the University’s Centre for Sports Business; and Diploma in Football Management alumnus, Darren Robinson, who will offer insight into the world of scouting, and how it has been affected by the pandemic and subsequent lockdown.

The free event takes place LIVE between 10.30 and 11.15am on Wednesday 1 July, with the opportunity to ask the panel questions following the main discussion.
Liverpool Responds is the University of Liverpool’s fortnightly online event series considering different aspects of the pandemic, its response and the sectors affected by it. With the intended restart for the hospitality sector pencilled in for 4 July, the next event on 15 July – hosted by Professor Michael Parkinson CBE - will focus on the revival of the Liverpool City Region economy.
