Chaired by University of Liverpool Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dame Janet Beer, the inaugural Liverpool Responds online event will give you the opportunity to hear from outbreak specialist, BBC Breakfast regular and member of the Government’s Science Advisory Group of Experts (SAGE), Professor Calum Semple; his fellow regular media commentator and global infectious diseases expert, Professor Tom Solomon; and one of the UK’s leading clinicians and University Executive Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Professor Louise Kenny.

Liverpool Responds: Research, Action! takes place LIVE between 10.30 and 11.15am on Wednesday June 17, with the opportunity to ask the panel questions following the main discussion.
It is the first of a series of live online events launched by the University under the Liverpool Responds banner, with discussions around the return of football; the challenges facing the hospitality industry; how we can support small and medium sized businesses and how the covid-19 lockdown has affected the environment, to come.

This event will be streamed via Zoom, you will receive the link via email in advance of the event. We are also live streaming it via the University of Liverpool Facebook page.

Please note, once the Zoom room is at capacity, you will need to view via the Facebook page. You will be given instructions on how to do this and do not need a Facebook account to gain access. You will be able to ask questions to the panel via both streaming services.
