Professor Tatjana S. Potpara, MD, PhD is Associate Professor in Cardiology (under- and postgraduate studies), Department of Internal Medicine, School of Medicine, Belgrade University, Serbia. She is Consultant cardiologist, and Head of Department for Intensive care in arrhythmias, Cardiology Clinic, Clinical Centre of Serbia, Belgrade, Serbia.
Prof Potpara is involved in local and international research collaboration and international research project mainly dedicated to atrial fibrillation, has published more than 180 full papers in high-impact international medical journals. She serves as a Section Editor in Thrombosis & Haemostasis and is an Editorial Board member in the Nature Scientific Reports. She is a reviewer for Circulation, European Heart Journal, EP Europace and many other journals and invited to lectures at all major ESC and other international cardiology meetings.
Prof Potpara is President of the Serbian AF Association (SAFA), Vice-President of the Serbian Society of Cardiology, and European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA) Board member – where she is Chair of the EHRA Scientific Initiatives Committee, Chair of the EORP-AF III Registry, Fellow of the ESC.
This talk will critically review the field and Professor Potpara’s own work in this area, including her latest work
