Mindfulness in the Museum

11.00 am - 12.00 pm & 2.00 - 3.00 pm

Take some time out in the stunning surroundings of the Victoria Gallery and Museum. You’ll be introduced to the principles of mindfulness and take part in a mindful viewing exercise using the collection and current exhibitions. During this session you’ll be guided into slowing down and observing. We hope that by taking part in mindful viewing you will gain a new experience of the artwork and displays.

Craft for Carers
1.30 - 3.30pm
Join us for a relaxing afternoon where you can meet other carers over tea and cake and take part in a craft session. Using felt, ribbons, buttons and vintage fabrics, artist Juliet will show you how to create a beautifully fragrant hand-stitched county cottage filled with lavender. There will be an opportunity afterwards to discuss ways we could support you and those you care for with future events.
Free event but booking is required.

Quiet Hour
5.00 - 6.00 pm
Our museum will be open an hour longer for 'Dementia Action Awareness Week.' Take part in the 'Game Changer' app for Dementia research, interact with a wide range of handling items and enjoy a much quieter museum space at the end of the day.
