Dr Nick Martin is presenting on ‘Religion and culture in adoption matching’:
This paper examines whether adoption agencies should consider religious and cultural preferences during the matching process. The paper argues that existing theories of parental religious and cultural partiality cannot be applied to adoption. Instead, religious and cultural preferences are morally important insofar as they bear on the opportunity for meaningful reconnection between adoptive children and birth parents.
