Professor Kurt Barling & Canon Dr Edmund Newell present Darkness Over Germany, based on Amy Buller’s recollection of a remarkable and largely forgotten story of British-German relations in the 1930s. As a former Warden at the University of Liverpool, Amy often had conversations with the students about her encounters with Nazi leaders and opponents during the Second World War. The book speaks of the need to stay vigilant and maintain dialogue in times of change and discord.
