The Propensity to Cycle Tool (PCT) is an interactive GIS-based system for understanding flows between neighbourhoods of individuals commuting to work across England using bicycle. The PCT was designed to assist transport planners and policy makers to prioritise investments over new infrastructure and interventions to promote cycling. The PCT answers the question: 'where is cycling currently common and where does cycling have the greatest potential to grow?' The seminar will detail the development of the model and identify the policy scenarios including doubling cycling prevalence and matching Dutch uptake of cycling.
