Create a calendar file

Click on "Create a calendar file" and your browser will download a .ics file for this event.

Microsoft Outlook: Download the file, double-click it to open it in Outlook, then click on "Save & Close" to save it to your calendar. If that doesn't work go into Outlook, click on the File tab, then on Open & Export, then Open Calendar. Select your .ics file then click on "Save & Close".

Google Calendar: download the file, then go into your calendar. On the left where it says "Other calendars" click on the arrow icon and then click on Import calendar. Click on Browse and select the .ics file, then click on Import.

Apple Calendar: The file may open automatically with an option to save it to your calendar. If not, download the file, then you can either drag it to Calendar or import the file by going to File >Import > Import and choosing the .ics file.

Marion is Group Publicity Manger – Factual and News & Current Affairs. In this role she is responsible for managing consumer publicity for the entire Factual output of Channel 4. This involves working across two commissioning departments – News & Current Affairs and Factual (which comprises Documentaries, History, Religion, Science and Arts) to oversee the delivery of both departmental corporate publicity and individual programme campaigns. In addition, for the last year she has been managing all consumer publicity for Channel 4’s coverage of the Paralympics and ran the channel’s press office from Rio for the duration of the Games. In this role she also ontinues to directly publicise individual programmes that are particularly sensitive, contentious or legally complex from the Bafta-winning 'The Paedophile Hunter' through to ‘Interview with a Murderer.’

This talk is part of a new public seminar series running alongside the MSc Strategic Communication programme. Running in November and December, the free seminars will take place at the University of Liverpool’s London campus. With diverse sectors and specialisms, each of the speakers will give an insight into the practice of strategic communication.
