The NMR Metabolomics Shared Research Facility is running a one day workshop to introduce researchers to the techniques employed for carrying out a metabolomics study. The workshop will cover the basic steps involved for conducting metabolomics studies; from sample collection and preparation to statistical analysis and pathway elucidation, including an exclusive look at the latest tools for analysis developed here at the University of Liverpool.

The preliminary programme is as follows:

• Sample collection & extraction procedures
• NMR sample preparation/ automation
• Quality Control and Handling NMR data
• Bucketing/Binning NMR data
• MS metabolomics (Simon Thain: GeneMill)
• Metabolite identification
• Common Statistical tools for metabolomics analysis
• Considerations for pathway analysis

As spaces are limited, registration is required, therefore if you would like to attend please contact Julie Boileau by email as soon as possible in order to reserve your place.
