What is the impact of poverty stigma?
How have campaigns such as Scotland’s own Stick Your Labels campaign sought to address and reduce poverty stigma?
What role can policy makers, employers and academics take here?
And what more can and should be done?

On behalf of Poverty Alliance and the Social Policy Association, we would like to invite you to attend a policy roundtable event where these questions will be discussed.

The event will take place at the Scottish Government.

It will feature brief presentations from the following:
• Carla McCormack, Poverty Alliance
• Professor John McKendrick, Glasgow Caledonian University
• Gerry McLaughlin, Chief Executive, NHS Health Scotland
• Ruth Patrick (University of Liverpool), Kim Allen and Tracy Shildrick (University of Leeds)

This roundtable will provide an invaluable opportunity to explore the latest research evidence on poverty stigma, and to discuss possible strategies that can be employed to address and mitigate this stigma. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion, and we would very much value your participation.

If you would like to attend please register at Eventbrite on the below weblink.

Please note it is vital that you respond to confirm your attendance as the Scottish Government needs a list of all attendees for security purposes, and we also need to know for catering purposes.
