Create a calendar file

Click on "Create a calendar file" and your browser will download a .ics file for this event.

Microsoft Outlook: Download the file, double-click it to open it in Outlook, then click on "Save & Close" to save it to your calendar. If that doesn't work go into Outlook, click on the File tab, then on Open & Export, then Open Calendar. Select your .ics file then click on "Save & Close".

Google Calendar: download the file, then go into your calendar. On the left where it says "Other calendars" click on the arrow icon and then click on Import calendar. Click on Browse and select the .ics file, then click on Import.

Apple Calendar: The file may open automatically with an option to save it to your calendar. If not, download the file, then you can either drag it to Calendar or import the file by going to File >Import > Import and choosing the .ics file.

It is estimated that 1 in 4 people in the will experience some form of mental health problems each year, and it is every-day issues such as money and jobs that can make it difficult for people to cope. Mental health problems affect children and adults alike, yet stigmatising those who do suffer persists within our society. A greater understanding of the reality of mental health has risen to prominence, so much so that Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn appointed Liverpool Wavertree MP Luciana Berger to the Shadow Cabinet for Mental Health.

This talk by Professor Kinderman, President of the British Psychological Society – will explore the current challenges faced in diagnosis and treatment of mental health. This one hour talk provides an introduction to how psychologists understand emotions, behaviours, and thinking patterns and how this helps clinical psychologists make sent of their client’s problems. We will also analyse current research that may help you improve your own mental health and well-being!
