The workshop will explore the current refugee crisis in Europe and its edges. In particular it addresses:
- the dominant attitudes towards non-Europeans and non-Christians in East Central Europe
- why the region remains resistant to notions of cosmopolitanism that are generally accepted in the West
- the legal aspects of the refugee crisis
- what should Europe do next
