Liverpool Law School and Chancery & Commercial Practice Group, Atlantic Chambers Liverpool Property Law Lecture

“The Poetry of Property: Its Commoditisation and Commercialisation”

Norris.J (Vice-Chancellor of the County Palatine) and Chancery Supervising Judge for the North West

The lecture will look at the sheer beauty of property law, its ideas and its language. It will suggest that this richness derives from a concern with the particular and leads to a focus on the past. Drawing on some cases heard by the Vice Chancellor it will look at some of the problems that this poses for a world accustomed to online trading: and it will invite consideration of a new model in the area of easements.

Reception to follow.
