COSME: in conversation with Liverpool Football Club

Nina Berry,
Director, Media Production and Operations - Liverpool Football Club

Mark Volante,
Director, Creative Content – Liverpool Football Club
Friday 28 March, 2-3:30pm
Rendall Building, Lecture Theatre 8

The Centre for Converged Screen Media and Entertainment (COSME) is delighted to host Nina Berry, Director, Media Production and Operations, and Mark Volante, Director, Creative Content, Liverpool Football Club for an in-depth conversation about the ways in which elite football clubs operate TV channels, with LFC TV as a focal point. One of the earliest and most successful examples of a television service associated with a major football club, LFC TV has developed into a multi-purpose subscription service that is at the heart of the club’s operations and development strategy. The conversation will tackle such issues as how content is created, how it circulates to other media platforms, how LFC TV engages with fan-created media, who are LFC TV’s competitors, how LFC TV is marketed and recruits subscribers, its relationship to major streaming services, and others.

The conversation will be coordinated by Yannis Tzioumakis, Professor of Film and Media Industries and co-director of COSME. There will be plenty of time for a Q&A.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to this exciting event!
