We're thrilled to announce the next speaker in our Bringing the World to Liverpool series is Carol Burke CBE, MD at Unipart Manufacturing Group who graduated from the University with a MSc (Eng) Advanced Manufacturing Systems and Technology in 1990.

Having joined Unipart in 1994, Carol is one of the UK’s leading advocates for manufacturing and engineering, and is responsible for UMG’s Manufacturing Partner strategy, created to support the automotive sector's shift away from the internal combustion engine to alternative forms of propulsion and to diversify the business.

Unipart is a British multinational logistics, supply chain, manufacturing and consultancy company, employing more than 10,000 with headquarters in Cowley, Oxfordshire, England. It has operations in Europe, North America, Australia and Japan and works across a variety of sectors that include automotive, retail, technology and rail. Carol is responsible for the Manufacturing arm of the business, employing around 1,000 people.

Carol will be discussing her career since graduation including what it's like running such a large organisation. Carol will also be answering audience questions on the day so it’s a great opportunity to gain insights from an industry expert.
