The FISH (Faculties Innovation Student Hub) Health Tech hackathon on Wednesday 1st March will provide an opportunity for students across the Faculty of Science and Engineering and Health and Life Sciences to come together and work creatively and collaboratively on real problem briefs brought to the event by industry.

The event will start at 1.30 with registration and lunch in the CTL. During lunch students will have an opportunity to read through the briefs and ask questions. Students will then be divided into groups to work together. Snacks will be provided throughout the afternoon. To attend this event you do not need any specific technical skills. All students across S&E and HLS can attend.

At the end of the event, a prize will be awarded to a team who the judges feel have delivered the most creative or innovative solution to one of the problems presented. The event is due to end between 7-7.30pm.

The event provides an opportunity for you to work with other students you probably have not met before, maybe from a different department or faculty. Attending these types of events provide really good examples to use in job applications and stories for interviews.

Come along, meet new people and spend an afternoon doing something different.

We look forward to seeing you there.
