Have you ever thought how astonishing it is that you can remain safe, pain-free and most of all, alive, even during the deadliest of medical procedures?
The School of Medicine is delighted to welcome back to campus Mr Keith Wilkinson, who graduated from Liverpool in 1982. His new book, 'If In Doubt: An Anaesthetist’s Story', offers a rare and raw glimpse into the profession, the skills required and mistakes made, its ethical issues, and the day-to-day challenges and rewards.
Come along to learn more about Keith’s time as a student at Liverpool, and how he got into his career in anaesthetics. Find out about his voluntary work overseas and why he is the biggest advocate for anaesthetics as a specialty. There will also be time some time to ask Keith questions, at the end of his presentation.
