A tour of St James’ Cemetery (situated alongside Liverpool Anglican Cathedral), one of the first cemeteries in Britain, with an introductory talk on gravestone symbolism and recording. Attendees can then search for epitaphs and symbols and work out what they mean, supported by activity sheets and a team of volunteers.

This outdoor workshop is aimed at families and others interested in the local area, and those with a more general interest in historic memorials. Participants will meet at the cemetery entrance next to The Oratory before walking into the cemetery. The Liverpool Anglican Cathedral may be used as a quiet space if required.
