The University of Liverpool has a collaborative agreement with the China Scholarships Council (CSC), which provides funding to support highly-talented students from China to undertake PhD studies in Liverpool.

It has been a great success in terms of annually awarded PhD numbers. In addition, CSC students make an outstanding contribution to our research environment. Many scholars progress to successful research careers and form long-lasting connections to Liverpool.
The CSC Innovative Talent International Collaboration Programme is a new programme, which provides targeted scholarship funding aligned to collaborative research networks (similar to doctoral training centres and MCSA doctoral networks). Funding is available at PhD and PDRA levels.

We are delighted that to host Mr Hu, Xiaopeng, Deputy Director of Division of European, Asian and African Affairs, CSC. Mr Hu will provide an overview of the different CSC PhD programmes as well as future directions and priorities. There will also be an opportunity for Q&A.

All academic and professional services staff are welcome.
