This event will be held in memory of Kate Marsh (1974-2019), Professor of French Studies at the University of Liverpool.

The editors of a forthcoming volume on Kate’s work will speak about her research in French colonial history, her work as bulletin editor and President of the Society for Francophone Postcolonial Studies, and her dedication to the profession and in particular to supporting early-career colleagues. Following the panel, colleagues will be invited for drinks in the newly named Kate Marsh Room, in 8-14 Abercromby Square.

Speakers: Nicki Frith (Edinburgh), Jonathan Lewis (Bangor), Rebekah Vince (QMUL) and Sarah Arens (Liverpool).

Final event location is still to be confirmed, and will be sent to attendees as soon as possible. Please register via Eventbrite.
