Malachi Morris is a Class of 2022 Law with Politics graduate, now Legal Assistant at Hill Dickinson, University of Law LPC student and Blogger with TheLawyerBlog.

I heard about the role at Hill Dickinson through a friend who was also applying. I started the LPC after joining HD because they have a really good work life balance which suited part time study.

Alongide this I started TheLawyerBlog because I saw a gap for tips and news for lawyers and students from within the area.

Studying for an undergraduate degree is really hard, and a Masters/LPC is even harder! It really does just take time and motivation. Things can knock you back but if you just keep going eventually it'll happen.

My favourite experience after graduating has been starting TheLawyerBlog. This has been a really good motivator, it keeps me engaged in my journey, and the journey that others take to get into law.

The most challenging part of your graduate journey has been the Masters course, motivation can be hard to find after work to then study. It's all about time and focus.

My top 3 tips for current students and recent graduates.

  1. Just take your time.
  2. Try to focus on your studies and not your friends and classmates.
  3. Enjoy it, there is fun to be found even in studying.
