Shubh Kantharia is a Class of 2022 MSc Marketing graduate, now working in Business Banking Relationship at Barclays UK.

I found out about my current role through Indeed and then looking at the company website.

The think that I most enjoy about my role is job satisfaction, and the environment in which I am working.

Perseverance, observation and keep learning is how I got to where I am now. That's how I have formulated a strategy for myself. Every time I come across something unique or interesting I try my best to learn more, and if possible to learn it as well!

While most people think rejections are the most challenging part of applying for graduate roles, I chose to deal with rejections by finding areas that need improvement. It’s important to understand that you will get rejections and be disappointed on occasions, but the key thing is for you how you put that behind and start applying for new opportunities with a fresh approach.

My top 3 tips for current students and recent graduates.

1) Don’t compare your journey or your progression with anyone as everyone possess different experiences and different skills the destination is different for everyone.

2) Have another person's point of view whilst reviewing a decision can help you can gain a balanced outer perspective to your scenarios and problems.

3) To get the jobs you want have separately curated CVs for respective job application.
